(My sister Heather and I completing a skydive for charity in 2014.)
So, here's just a little bit about me so that you can see that i do have some evidence behind what information I put on here. I'm not just making it up as I go along-I promise!
As I said, my name is Elizabeth. I live in a teeny tiny village in the middle of nowhere in England. I have always loved English as a lesson, perhaps because it seemed to come easily to me. I wasn't very interesting in reading at all when I was younger, but I still enjoyed learning about it. I used poetry as my 'skill' when I was trying to get the Duke of Edinburgh award, and have written poems for family members as gifts. I studied English Literature at GCSE and A level, but couldn't figure out what I would do with it as a career. So I took two years studying a BTEC in Photography in case I liked that more. Although I seemed to have a natural talent for Photography and reached the top grades, I still just loved English Literature. So now I'm going for it, studying my degree at UCP and following my nerdy, bookworm dreams!
I am in no way an expert...yet. I am a part-time waitress with a bad shopping habit and an unusually high love of dogs. But I have dreams, and I will achieve them.So please, remember that everything I tell you comes from my trained lecturers and reputable sources, however I am not the be-all and end-all of English knowledge. Obviously. Use me as a guide or a starting point, as I will try to explain things in a simple way. Then you can go off and discover the hidden gems of English for yourself, with a little more confidence.
